We are still getting dozens of letters and help requests by mail that do not include a stamped, self-addressed, return envelope or a donation. We are extremely sorry but we are simply unable to reply unless you provide the means for us to do so. Funding for all of the Yorkshire Heroes sites comes out of our own pockets - not the council, government, H.M. Forces or anywhere else for that matter.
Portabello U3A - Huge success
Thank you to everyone at our recent Hull Blitz event in the Portabello Methodist Church on Holderness Road. What a FANTASTIC audience; a room full of heroes with an amazing array of memories from wartime Hull. We just love this job; meeting so many nice people who are only too happy to share their experience for us to share.
The Hull People's Memorial
Please visit our exhibitions in Community Junction (the old ticket office) in Hull's Paragon Station. We will be changing our displays from time to time and there are lots of goodies on sale in our mini-shop.
We still need everyone to sign our petition just to let the planners know what we, the people of Hull, would like to see in our city centre.
Please visit our 'Hull Remembers' site for the latest gems.
School Visits
Teachers, we will be happy to talk to your class, either in Community Junction or in your own school. For further information please contact Steve Manners on 07733 811665 or by email to: towhull@yahoo.co.uk
Heroes Who Survived
For over 15 years concentrated on the fallen heroes of Hull and ignored those who survived, but now it is time for all of that to change. We are now seeking your help to record Hull (and district) folk who survived active service in the armed or civilian forces, whenever they served, or were injured in the bombings of WW1 or WW2. Discover how to include your heroes on our new Heroes Who Survived pages.
Hullwebs is totally reliant of voluntary donations to keep these web sites running. Please enjoy your visit, share your thoughts and
drop us a line whenever you discover the name of a hero that we have missed. We will be only too pleased to add them to our pages.
